The tricky part about annealing heat
Annealing is a balancing act. You need to get rid of those internal stresses without accidentally melting your beads into a puddle. It all comes down to heat density. Whether you’re using shortwave or medium-wave, the ratio of wattage to length is what tells us how fast the glass hits that sweet spot. But here’s a word of caution: if you try to cram more wattage into a shorter tube to speed up production, you’re putting a lot more pressure on your lamp holders. Double-check your wiring. You don’t want to find out the hard way that your terminals can’t handle the current.
Quartz, coatings, and the “perfect fit”
We use high-purity quartz because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature swings wildly during an annealing cycle. Depending on what you’re making, we can add specialized coatings to the tube. This basically “tunes” the infrared spectrum so the glass absorbs the heat better. It keeps the surface from overheating while making sure the core of the bead is actually treated. And don’t worry about the installation. We use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. They just slide right in. No need to rebuild your machine or move your footprint around just to get a light to work.
Let’s get the specs right
To hit that 7-day window, we can’t afford to guess. We need the exact voltage, total wattage, and the precise length—including the pins. Seriously, be exact. Even a 2mm difference can mean the lamp won’t seat in the holder, and that’s a headache nobody needs. We build these to be direct swaps for the big-brand machines. Your power supply won’t even know the difference.
